Today is the last day to buy products from Stampin' Up!s Summer Mini Catalogue.  It is also the last day of the retired list but there are 3 products that were missed from the list that SU! have published.  This means that these three stamp sets can be ordered for another 15 days until the 15th April or while quantities last.

So Proud

This is Sarina's card.  I want to say thanks to Sarina for this lovely card.  Our scrapbooking group has been corrupted into making cards and Sarina has been pressured to go with the flow.  I am very proud of her and love this card.

PANIC

There are only a few days to go until we can no longer order from the 2007/2008 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalogue.  The Summer Mini Catalogue also comes to an end on the 31 March.  None of the beautiful papers or ribbons in the mini will be available after this date.  I am particularly sad to be seeing Stem Silhouettes going knowing it will not be in the new catalogue.  French flair, Love Matters, Edgy Eloquence, Big Blooms, Long Time Friend, Easy Eloquence, Happy Thoughts and Best Bar Codes are now available for only a few days.  If you love any of these sets from the mini catalogue or you are considering any items on the retired list, now is the time to order. Another item not listed on the retired list is Spring Flowers and Spring Showers designer papers, these papers don't seem to be available after March 31st.

Linda's card.

                                                        Inside
                                                         Front
This card was by Linda.  The large tag card was made using Stampin' Up!  spring flowers paper.  I love this card.  The lovely embellishments, the personal touch of having my name on it, etc.  It is fabulous and it is fascinating on the inside and outside.  (The Spring flowers and Spring flowers paper was not listed in the retired list but it doesn't seem to be in the new catalogue coming out in April so if you love these papers you only have a few days to order it.)

Older not wiser

Today is my birthday and I  had such a relaxing day.  The kids had the day off school as part of the Easter holidays so we spent the morning at the park with a big group of friends.  Then a friend took my kids home for the afternoon. Thanks Linda! I have spent the free time re-arranging my craft room. I love the new shelves and draws I got for my birthday.  I will post a photo when I am happy with the way it looks. Other presents included a new mobile phone, nestabilities and a subscription to a scrapbooking magazine.  I am so spoilt.  My hubby just rang to say he is heading home to cook tea.  Can life be any nicer?
Of course you have to see the great cards that I received.  Talk about wow factor.   The card above was made by Nancy.  I love the black, white and red theme.

Coach's card

Here's a card I made for my daughter's basketball coach.  I hope you like it. The card is actually round. It started out as a black & white challenge but I found this basketball paper and couldn't resist using it.

What a season the team had.  They were undefeated all year with very convincing wins.  The grand final was a nail biter and they lost by one point.  There was so much tension,  it took me a day to recover!

Busy but Not creative

The Sale-A-Bration rush has kept me busy, but it has also kept me away from my craft room. Here is the only card I managed to produce this week :(   I hope you like it. Stampin' Up! products I used include the Paisley background stamp, the Bold butterflies stamp set and It's your birthday (on the inside). I also used Cool carribean cardstock, which is only available for another month before it will be replaced so I thought I would make the most of it while I can. Thanks Kylie for lending me your bold butterflies set.  I have fallen in love with this set and I was beginning to think that I wouldn't be able to return it, so I ordered a set for myself.  You won't have to kidnap it back. LOL.

Tuesday's Tip #4

When it comes to looking in the mirror most of us want to avoid looking curvey.  When it comes to circles this can only be an improvement.  There are several ways to add a scallop to a circle. Firstly you can punch out numerous circles and stick them to the back of your circle to give a scallop that can be a different colour to the original circle.  My favourite way is to take the guard off the small corner rounder punch and punch around the edge of the circle until you get back to where you started. It is important that you line up the punch to be touching the last scallop as you go around.

Another way is to cut out the centre of you circle and punch the outer edge from the hole with the slot punch.  If the scallops don't quite line up when you get to where you began, don't worry because you can always cover this bit with something, like a button, bow or a little saying etc.

I recently saw another alternative.  Punching out love hearts and sticking them to the back of the circle with only the bumpy tops showing from the other side. Romantic and practical.

See how you go with these techniques. If you decide to make a card with these scalloped circles, don't forget to send me a pic.

And the winner is......

There were very few people competing for the blog candy I was offering so I have decided to have two first prizes. Peta is the winner of the Warmest Regards Hostess set with her lovely engagement card.  The card above was made by Nancy who also wins a hostess set.  Her card was inspired by Joan Ervin from SCS.  The card uses Stampin' Up's! Look like spring and sincere salutations stamp sets. Card stock  and ink colours are sage shadow, chocolate chip and real rust.

The search is on

A few months ago I discovered a great idea for storing punches. Some people use Over the door, shoe holders to store their punches. I love this, and would like to get one. Does any one know where I can buy one in Western Australia? Here is a picture of one from Laurenm at SCS. Any guidance is appreciated.
