Of course, I don't recommend you wait until stocks are low if there is something you really want. Rush for Retired List

Slow News Week

Sorry everyone, this week will be lacking in anything interesting.  I have visitors staying and I'm finding it hard to post any thing.  Will make up for the lack of activity next week. I promise.

Tuesday's Tip # 3

Images copyright 1990-2008 Stampin' Up!

The new Lots of Thoughts stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration brochure is one of the sets you can get free with every $100 you spend. It is very versatile and has phrases to suit most occasions. The great thing about this set is that stamped images can be punched out using the Stampin' Up! 1-3/8 square punch or with the tag punch. By the way, all of these stamp sets come with the rubber pre-cut so you just have to add the rubber image and the sticker to the block and it's ready for stamping.

A Good Thing

It is true that you can't get too much of a good thing and that being said, I have to add another card by PC.  Isn't it a beautiful engagement card.  Doesn't this make you fall in love with Stampin' Ups! Enchante double sided designer papers. PC also used sage shadow and chocolate chip card stock.  Stamp sets include Warm words and Lots of thoughts. Thank you PC for sharing your talent with us again.  If you send enough nice comments about these cards PC might allow me to reveal her real identity. Doesn't she sound a bit like a super hero....Card woman perhaps.

Male card- resist embossing.

Here is a card that we made in a workshop today.  Stamp sets: French script, Lots of Thoughts, Artifacts. Card stock: Chocolate chip, Ruby red,  Natural ivory.  The french script was stamped in versamark and clear embossed.  We then sponged with creamy caramel, close to cocoa, and chocolate chip ink.  Ruby red ink was also used on the card.Accessories: chocolate grosgrain ribbon,  Earth elements brads. One person in the group adapted the card to be a Valentines card by using the Notes of love stamp from Lots of thoughts and the By definition background stamp instead of french script.  One of the great things about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is that sometimes you get to see card making through some one else's perspective.  A male birthday card can easily be made into a card for the man close to your heart.    With this inspiration my husband my not be neglected on the 14th of Febuary.

Another Talented Friend

I feel very fortunate to live in Albany, Western Australia.  I have discovered that this town is full of talented people.  It is not uncommon to flick through the Stamping and Papercraft magazines and discover that at least one section, if not more includes the creative work of some one from Albany.  A customer and friend of mine who would like to remain anonymous gave me some of her cards to share with you all. She has been inspired to use the Enchante' double sided designer papers from the mini catalogue and has dyed ribbon using Stampin' Up! re- inkers to match the paper. Stamp sets used include Friendship Blooms from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue, and warm words. Cardstock colours are Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Mellow Moss, Sage Shadow and Very Vanilla.  She has also used the Perfect Plum ink pad and the Soft Subtles markers. I just love the hand stitched detail on them.  The cards with the stitched stems were inspired by Sue Smith. The other cards are her own design. I think they are beautiful and would like to thank P.C. for her inspirational cards.  She definitely belongs with those other talented Albany people who have been published.

Blog Candy

If you have been busy making things with Stampin' Up! products, you should be rewarded. I have a Warmest Regards stamp set to give away. It is a Stampin' Up! level one hostess stamp set and it is likely that it will not be available when the new catalogue comes out in a few months. If you already have this set, I am happy to negotiate replacing it with a Sale-A-Bration set instead. To make this set yours all you have to do is make something using Stampin' Up products to inspire me. If your creation is inspired by someone else's work please mention them so that they receive due credit. Sorry but no Stampin' Up! demonstrators can enter and you can only join in if you live in Australia or NZ. If you are interested in being a part of the fun please leave a comment. Angel Policy

For those of you who may not know, Stampin' Up! has an Angel Policy.  This allows cards that feature Stampin' Up images to be sold.  Although there is no quantity limit on how much craft work is sold, each item has to be individually stamped and they must be marked with one of the images from the the official Stampin' Up! Limited Licence stamp sets shown in the Idea Book & Catalogue.  If you would like to sell any craft work that uses Stampin' Up! stamps sets, it would be best to make sure you understand all of the conditions of the Angel Policy. Summer Mini Catalogue
