Albany Bushfire Stamping Fundraiser

Here is a chance to help those affected by the Victorian Bushfire and to have fun.  Another Albany demonstrator, Cathy Clark is organizing a Stamping Fundraiser for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

It is on Saturday 28th February 2009, 1.30pm-5pm at the Guide Hall in Parker Street (opposite B.C.F).  For $20 per person you will receive kits for stamping and making 3 cards and 1 box.  You also get a door prize ticket and afternoon tea is provided.  There will also be a raffle and rubber stamps and items for sale. 

Cathy will donate the entry fee and all other profits to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009.  

All are welcome, so come on your own or bring a friend or more!  No previous stamping experience is necessary.  For bookings please RSVP Cathy Clark on 0408 272 642 or A/h 0898444665 by the 26th February (Bookings are essential for catering and card kits)

Stampin' Up! Bushfire Appeal

Please join Stampin' Up to help those victims of the Victorian Bushfires. 

From the 12 February until the 31st March 2009,  when you purchase any of a select group of 10 stamp sets, Stampin' Up! will donate 50% of the sales of these sets to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfires 2009 Appeal.  I will also donate any  of my commissions relating to the sale of these sets to the Red Cross also.

*These sets will appear on the upcoming list of retiring products, so they will only be available for the Bushfire Appeal while stocks last.

Quick Card

This is a quick card I whipped up for a friend's birthday. I used Soft Sky card stock and ribbon. I also Spring Silhouette Designer background papers. The layout for the card is from a card on Splitcoast Stampers. It is so easy. All you do is measure 21cm down one side of a A4 sheet and then do the same on the other side from the opposite end.  You then fold the card into thirds in a zig zag and decorate it.

Onesie

This card (pronounced one-see)  is another card I taught at the "Inkers Arvo"  run by another Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Cathy Clark.  She is so good to us all and keeps us enthused about being a demonstrator.  Colours are Whisper White and Bashful Blue.  Stamp sets are Polka dot background stamp, and For a Friend (Hostess set).  I also used the 1 3/8" circle punch and the scalloped circle punch.  This type of card is really simple but effective.

Waterfall Commotion

This waterfall card was a dilemma.  After using a few different stamp sets I finally settled for Ocean Commotion and I really like the result.  Colours I have used include Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Certaily Celery.  I taught a group of local Stampin' Up! demonstrators how to make the card at our "Inkers Arvo" so we might see a few more of them around Albany.  Thanks for looking
